Instant Moong dal Halwa

Moong Dal Halwa  

It is a north Indian cuisine prepared from yellow or washed moong dal ,it takes lot of time and patience to cook this delicious desert and i hope this method will make your work easy, now you can prepare  instant moong dal halwa without utilizing too much time.

Preparation Time : 45 minutes                    Cooking Time : 60 minutes        
Ingredients
1 Cup yellow Moong dal(250 gm)
6-7 tablespoon  ghee
3 cup milk
2 Tablespoon Fresh Cream(Optional)
3 Table spoon Raisin
3 Table spoon Cashew nuts(Pieces)
3 Table spoon Almonds (Pieces)
3 Table spoon  Coconut powder (optional)
1/2 Table spoon Cardamon powder
1 cup Sugar(Depends upon taste)

How to make recipe 
1. Soak the moong dal for 4 to 5 hours at room temperature or if you want instant moong dal halwa then soak  moong dal in luke warm water for 30 minutes.Note - Boiling water should not use.



2. After 30 minutes Moong dal will swollen, drain it properly. 



3. Grind the moong dal to make it thick paste  with ½ cup water.







4.Melt the ghee in non stick pan and add grounded moong dal with continuous stirring till its aroma gone completely.
5.Halwa  start getting lumpy ,make sure that continue stirring is needed otherwise dal can stick at he pan or burn. Fry it till became golden brown.
6. Now add sugar with continue stirring till it completely melt into the dal. 
7.After that Add all the dry fruits.
8.Now Add Cardamon powder  and coconut powder ,mix them well for one minute.
9.. Now add 3 cups of milk and fresh cream to make it thick and delicious, cook it on dry flame till milk dries up.
10. All the liquid must be absorbed by moong dal, serve the moong dal by garnishing it with coconut powder, almonds and raisins. Serve hot.
